Asian-Americans in the news spotlight

CNN ran two articles regarding Asian-Americans today.

The first one was on the front page:
Push to achieve tied to suicide in Asian-American women
"Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for Asian-American women ages 15-24." It's very sad...but I'm not surprised.

And the second one, Anderson Cooper's blog:
Asian-American kids feel career pressure

The Fighting Illini Farmbots!

Actually, the more I think about it, the more awesome it would be to have a robot as a school sports mascot.

I also like the idea of "Fighting Illini Velociraptors" too.

Aww. Here's something me and the testers at work are pretty psyched about.

It's a PS3 game called "Little Big Planet." It's basically a cute mutliplayer side scrolling platformer with real world physics (and I really mean real world! Look at that string fly!).

The point of the game is to get from start to finish. Not very hard. But you need need companions to get there, to help move objects away, roll balls, etc.

The game is completely online on the PS3 Network, so you play with your friends. Levels are actually created by users themselves, so there is no shortage of different stages to play.

And yes, the jet packs are pretty cool. :D
